CDES Redesign

I was contacted by the Communications department at California State University, Chico to possibly redesign their department web site. After a couple different variations and concepts, this was the final design chosen. The branding at top had to be consistent with every other web page on the school's website which was a challenge to work around. A very fun and creative job indeed.

WexCode

Designed for a friend of mine in the web development industry, this website was intended to be clean, very minimal, and professional. I designed the logo and concept from scratch. Adam Wexler was very pleased with the result and coded this himself, which only makes sense.

Las Vegas Sinners

This website was supposed to be clean and bold, grabbing the readers attention while using multiple calls to action. The idea is modeled after sites such as fmylife.com and tfln.com. Overall the client was extremely happy with the design, asking the only to change the white background to black. The site was very successful before being converted in favor of a prebuilt CMS.

BabeTemplates Forum

This was a very successful website redesign. BabeTemplates version 1 was a hit and I was chosen to redesign the entire website and forum. The forum was most popular, so it was the first to go public and this is the final design. Unfortunately the owner passed away and the site was subsequently shut down. RIP Paul.

Empowering Spirits v2

Following on the popularity of the design for version one. We were hired to "facelift" the website. It was thought to be too cluttered and wanted to give a more serene feeling and vibe. The clouds and reduction of bright bold colors really enhanced usability. Although the call to action buttons are less noticeable they can still be found on other pages, which is sometimes more sensible, and can direct users more successfully.

Band Panel

BandPanel was an extremely large and daunting project. I designed two complete versions with about 12 sub pages each. It was a project in the making for over a year. Finally we decided on a design and went along with it. The flash players were completed and incorporated into the design. Almost two years later and hundred of hours later the site went live. Only to fall prey to Myspace and PureVolume and its overwhelming user base.

TeleSales

Designing this was a bit difficult, because the system the client was working on was not yet in place. They had an intranet site, so I worked off that color scheme, and tried to design something that would advertise their services. It came out as something simple and to the point. Only a one page informational website.

East Bay Marketing

A webdesign created for a marketing and sales firm in Antioch, California. One of their biggest income generators are pamphlets and newspapers, so I created the design to imitate a 3 fold pamphlet. After all was said and done, the design wasn't used in favor of another concept but I still think this is a strong design.

MayFly Books

This concept was one of about six I went through with the client. We eneded up choosing to incorporate this into a wordpress theme. I wanted to match the site with the logo, while still being easy to read, easy to navigate, and professional looking. It is a pretty small site so I wanted something simple, yet still creative.

2010 Portfolio Concept

This was one of about six concepts I worked on over the past few years. I liked this one most, and completed all of the sub pages, but something wasn't right... usability. Although I thought it looked good, I just didn't think the layout was easy for visitors to navigate. As I played around with other options I decided to scrap this idea and start from scratch.

Artisticmind v2

Although this design was never used for my portfolio, I still think it is very unique. I kept the same color scheme and wanted to have something nature related. The top bar is meant to look like wood, there are bits of ivy scattered around and the background was supposed to be selectable between dirt and grass. I eventually skipped over this design and went straight to version 3.

Artisticmind v1

My first real version of my portfolio. This has been used for over 3 years and was due for a refresh. I went through this fad that had me dealing with a lot of butterflies. I don' t know why. I also really liked the colors of dark green and dark red. It reminded me of royalty for some reason.
