Well, I took a journey to London yesterday. It was exciting as hell. I walked all around eastern and central London. I also walked down Oxford and Regent streets. Arrived there about 11am and left about 7pm. I got pics of all the architecture twice, day / night.
During the day, the city of London was throwing a parade for its newly elected Mayor, so I got to see that as well.
Let me allow the pics to tell how beautiful it was.

Well, I went to the beautiful Cambridge University on Sunday and snapped some great pictures. It was a really beautiful campus, and it was really interesting to hear about all of the history of the school. The architecture was built over a span of more than 200 years because the King that started King’s College was assassinated before it was complete. The story behind all of the architecture was pretty interesting as well.
Well, without further ado, here are some of the pretty pictures.

Thank you for looking!

Well, where do I start. I am in an amazing new country, posting from 5,700 miles away from home. It is incredibly nerve racking and I already miss so many people back home. What an adventure it has already been. Here is a brief synopsis of the first week in England:
Thursday: I depart from San Francisco International at 4:00pm Takeoff and the flight goes smoothly, (note to self: fly Virgin Atlantic any time you can.) free food, free bedding, free drinks, great hosts, great people on the plane. I spoke with someone from England returning home and got a little bit of insight of what I can expect from the country.
Friday: After a long 10 hour flight, I arrive in England at London Heathrow. After exchanging my money (I think I got £93 for $200, Damnit) and grabbing my baggage I proceeded to figure out the best way to get to my school. Eventually I made a plan of action. 4 trains, and £40 later I got to my school. Exhausted from carrying my 190 pounds of luggage, I go to check into my room. After a lengthy debate I realize I won’t be able to move into my dorm room until Sunday. OK? What the hell am I supposed to do until then? I have no friends, 190 pounds of luggage and no transportation to get anywhere. A kind lady from the study abroad office offered to accomodate me at her home until I can move in on Sunday. Thank god there are considerate people in this country.
Saturday: Still recovering from the incredible jet-lag and having my sleep schedule messed up beyond repair, I wake up early (around 8am local time) and head downstairs for breakfast. I will cherish that bed forever because I won’t be sleeping in something that comfortable for at least the next year. I went down and met some of the son’s friends. Not really much going on today. I think I passed out early that night, around 7pm local time, or 15:00 as I will be posting from now on.
Sunday: The family has a sailboat in the ocean and invites me to go along. It was amazing. It was a beautiful day out and I had a really good time, snapped some good pics and learned how to “saien know we used the motor most of the time. It was a blast, pictures are below. After sailing, I went to my school to move in. Finally, a place to put all my crap.
Monday: I don’t really remember what I did really, I went down to the store and bought some food and some bedding. Luckily the big grocery store is only a 25 minute walk from my dorm.
Tuesday: The first of many days of fun. After meeting some of my flat mates there was a huge rave going on in the club at our school. What a blast that was. Ministry of Sound was the hosting DJ and it was just a all out dance fest. All the music, girls and drinks you want til 3 in the morning. It was so much fun.
Wednesday: Wednesday was the private school theme at the club. Not going to lie, seeing all the girls in tiny short plaid skirts is pretty damn hot. It was another really amazing night and more pictures are to follow.
Thursday: Wow, I have been here one week already, time is sure going by fast. I love my flat mates and am making friends pretty quickly, it sucks school starts in just 4 days. Tonight will be an easy night because I just don’t have anything going on. The flat mates are going to a concert on campus, but I will just be staying in.
Friday: Oh wow, Friday night was ridiculous. I don’t remember much. It was a beach party theme at the club on campus and I dressed in my usual California attire. Shorts, vans and no shirt, ok, well I did wear a white shirt. Pics are below.
Overall, this has been a great week, really getting to know everyone and my flat mates are really cool. The scenery is beautiful. The food is… well, its good because I can get anything I want. American or not.
Some pictures from my first week are below, I will be posting more throughout the year so stay tuned!

Ok, wisdom teeth suck. I had mine removed on Monday, went through the whole bloody gauz mess and was hoping to feel better by the weekend, unfortunately, the pain still plagues me. At times it is unbearable, and others, excruciating. However, I know that after this week or so, the pain will subside and I will have gotten through my first surgery.
However, on a more positive note, ENGLAND!!! Departure is less than 5 days away. I am all packed and ready to go. However, saying goodbye to all the important people in my life is the last thing on my pre-departure list. It’s last because it’s the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Saying goodbye to the ones I care about seems so intimidating. I feel nervous and guilty at the same time. I don’t want to leave them, but I know that true friends are always there for you, and will be there for me when I return. I will be sure to take plenty of pictures and post them here on this blog to document my adventures overseas. All in all, this will be an exciting learning experience, and a wonderful opportunity to study in one of the greatest places on earth. I am blessed to have this opportunity and can’t wait to experience it to tell everyone about it.
